I was having one of those revelations while smoking a toasted coffee n' chocalate flavored cigar. Lulled by the haze of flavored tobacco and the buzz of Mercury's snores, I could see dreams forming from the ashes of an empty deck. I was absorbed into a timeless realm of illusion that seemed to root and weave in and out of reality.
Something kinda clicked in my head, then a little green spider bit me in the back of the skull as I ruffled my braid. It fell down my face and rolled down past my pocket. As it rolled by my eye, I noticed it had a pretty fat ass.
So that was the first time I remember getting a spider bite on the head like that. I can't help but think that it's kinda symbolic. My skull was envenomed. I decided afterwards to take a walk..if nothing else it would keep me from clawing a hole in my mane. It would go numb and then throb feel like a bee sting. A numbing calm then I'd feel energy surge up my spine.
Hot and Cold, Hot and Cold
Time just seemed to stop and go..
As I walked, it was like I could still feel venom creeping up on me. My skull felt like it was radiating, I'd go from slightly feverish (not really unpleasant) to cold chills, enough to lift the fur on my arms straight up. Time would seem to stop for a while, like my mind was racing and my pace was very slow, then I melt back to a warm sweat.
When I first started writing this it felt like my brain was on fire. Now it's more like a smoldering pinhole in my head that slightly throbs every now and again. Visions have faded. Spiders are strange creatures but I'm kinda fascinated and fond of them. All and all, it may sound a little odd but I found it to be a somewhat enlightening experience.
Hopefully I don't wake up by clawing a hole in my head with some kinda death boner going on..
